Wrong way

by April Stale

She was born from loneliness and sadness
Its no wonder she didn’t recognize love when you tried to hand it to her

She’s running
Always running
Alone
Cold
She came to a fork
She turned the wrong way
If she just went the other way, she might’ve made it
She might’ve made it
