what does “ready” mean?

so gluttonous for complexity and detail
that there was a definitive
deprivation of the simple,

the right.

i was
exhausted by the upkeep;
ready to give in to “enough”
crippled by the necessity of “fine”

adopting truths such as,
this longing does not designate fulfillment, but substitutes for its absence.

cover all reflections, for now.
your external being does not matter in this place.


ii. rending

make it on the right side,
as the child of myself has passed.

use your teeth.
don’t waver.
i'll stay still.
hold my eyes with yours.
make one, clear rip.

the sound alone is enough to bring me to tears.


iii. aberrance

i am enough.
i am enough.
i am enough.

i am worthy of you, of this.


iv. yahrzeit

each year,
kiss me on my right side.
mend me.
speak to me in a language
more expansive than words.
remind me of my worth by
being by my side.
