Of Metals and of Cliffs

where are the resting alcoves
set aside for our eyes to settle in
overgrown with jasmine vines
bringing a scent of the end time
come to lull and coax lemmings away and down
the sleeping vixens lure hardened prey
meant to shield against metals and cliffs laying in wait


Forging Suns and Arrows


-
secure in danger
seven moons in an onyx mouth
keep a circular guard
turning stone weights over and over
a missing element in the chain
linked anew nightly
by the very source bent on decay


Enemy of the Vine


-
each face of a coin defines the other
a perimeter determines the search
blackness in deep space baits the fall
is not an absolute final
should the design be of low intelligence
an end
would only be an end


The Silver of their Armor

even hewn apart we are whole
veins of a leaf are split with purpose
cosmos in the pupil of an eye
the mysticism of sub-atomic particles
parallel realities converge at every level of existence
a suit of armor is the same as a suit of cloth
a finch is also a stone
