Your Smile

by Thomas K. Hunt

I saw your smile in a recent photograph
You've always been my present but this took me back
You were smiling with two fools I know
The way you smiled back in school years ago

I hope you don't mind but one of those fools sent this photo to me
From here it goes nowhere, that's a promise I'll keep
Beleive it's safe and sound never to be found
Only for me to see
Not that I want to hide you
It was just meant for me

Through the years I've caught glimpes
There you were
Where'd you go?
Fragments from moments lost to the years
Remebering your smile so clear

I've often wondered, do you think of me?
Am I ever a vision in a memory?
I'd like to think I've been there at times
Made you smile when I crossed your mind

I'm so glad I have this picture of you
Smiling with those two old fools
To have your smile preserved in time
Smiling with two friends of mine
