I'm losing hair I thought would stay
What's left is turning grey
My mind's as sharp as it can be
After all I'm still me

My body's not what it used to be
One look and you'll clearly see
Everyone says it's a bitch to get old
It's only my body not my soul

Some things are hard to remember
Some things I could never forget
I'm on the downside of the hill
but I'm not over it yet

Fragments of thoughts
Pieces of time drift through openings in my mind
Visions of my youth dance behind my eyes
The smell of cut grass
Friendships that never die

Searching for clues in these fragments of time
Trace moments that cross my mind
Moments that are only mine
Destined to be lost to time

Immortality does exist
It's alive in my heart and mind
It's not always easy to find
Still, it's here for all of time

I'm on the downside of the hill
I so enjoyed the climb
I'd climb it again if I had more time
That's just a thought that plays with my mind

It's no race, let's take our time
If I cross over before you
Look for me I'll be easy to find

We started a beginning that has no end
We'll just pick it up when I see you again
Eternal flames that shine as one
that lights the way to another sun

Get in line when it's time to ride
I'll meet you on the other side
When you get there you'll be just fine
You'll shine with the souls that shine for all of time

If you get there first I'll find you
You're the first soul on my list
I know that once I see your light
we will have our total bliss

I'll see your light and then I'll know
I'll know exactly where to go
I'll share your light once again on
this journey that has no end

Existing souls before my time
Wait to see my light shine
Souls that touched me at the start
Souls that will always share my heart

It took me years to turned into me
