The Vicissitude of Winter's Twilight

by Tom Goss

When my world is gone
will you know my name?

When the dream is spent
shall I rise again?

Underneath the moon,
starlight ease my pain

Daybreak's coming soon,
like sunlight in the rain

Oh your hands have held me close
In your eyes I see the most

In this life our hearts are tested,
shattered and destroyed

But when love has resurrected
happiness returns

In a moment life's perfected,
like a sculptured face

In these dreams we have erected
there is still a place

Where our souls are protected
and we feel Love's grace
