I had part of a plan when I sat down tonight
Still, I wasn't sure on what I'd write
I never know what words will flow
They always seem to come and go

I'm a poet that has a way with words
If you're reading this now it's nothing you have heard
It's fresh off the press
It's not like the rest

It's right here in black and white
Laid out for your reading pleasure tonight
I had an idea on what I might write
Maybe a little something when I sat down tonight

Are you still with me or off on something new?
You're probably like me you haven't got a clue
Do you really care what I have to say
There's more important things that need to fill your day

So far I'm having so much fun
If you've read this far you must be the one
I hope there's a smile on your face
I hope you're in your happy place

I want to thank you for this time we've shared
I could always count on you to be there
I hope by now you understand
When I sat down you were part of the plan
