Mid July (4 Haiku)

by Leonard M Hawkes

(1)
Rust-dust-green maple;
Flare of half-bloomed fireweed;
Morning autumn light.

(2)
Heat, dust, withered green;
Sunflowers, dry brome, fireweed;
Autumn's long shadow.

(3)
Fall in morning light;
Sunflowers dance in withered brome;
I'll dust the squash plants.

(4)
Brownish tinge at dawn;
Dry blazing heat by high noon;
Red sunset--wildfire.
