A Cool Breeze Dancing

by Thomas K. Hunt

There's a cool breeze dancing
It caresses the face
It rustles through the trees
You get lost within its space
It holds you in the moment
You feel your heartbeat
Dancing with the breeze
Down these village streets

The search is over
The time has been tolled
You're much older
The truth must be told
This was part of the plan
It passed way too fast
I wasn't sure how long it would last
Back where you began
To see your smile again
The sight of your smile
Your grin from ear to ear
It warms the heart year after year

In the broken light behind the trees
Is the best place to dance in the breeze
It sweeps you off your feet
Down these village streets
There's no time for sitting down
with a cool breeze downtown
You're here to live in the moment
Pick em up and put em down
You can do it with such ease
Dancing with the breeze
Stepping out with the breeze
Cut a rug with the breeze
Dancing with the breeze
Down these village streets
The breeze follows the beat
