A little Rambling from the Muse

by Thomas K. Hunt

Nobody remembers the losers
There's only one that lives in the mind
Close your eyes, you'll see yourself every time
Everybody gets to feel that way
It could happen any time of day
Nobody wants to be a loser
Make a slip along the way
Don't look down cause when you look back up
There's another loser today

I've had my share of losses
The Lord knows that I've been down
I'm still on my feet with a mind quite sound
I'm sending this out to only you
I'm wondering if I'm getting through

Nobody remembers the losers
I think that's a shame
We all share the same blame
Turn around and let it go
True loss is what you can't get back
It's gone forever but not after that
You make a mistake just one time
Tuck it away, store it in your mind
The next time that comes around
You'll know it's time to turn around

Everyone gets a chance to be a loser
You'll take a chance just to let it go
If you didn't you'd never know
Take your losses and then move on
You might as well because now they're gone
Find something new and make it better
Step outside enjoy the weather
Take a cruise in the cruiser
If you don't you're a loser
