poems never read

by Ulyss Rubey

life was short
death was long
and few survived their dying...

a cold flat stone
marks that they lived
and are forever lying...

gaps in their lives
filled with lost time
they could have used for living...

most lived to take
and call it mine
but life was in the giving.............

"gaps in their lives / filled with lost time / they could have used for living"... what more needs to be said beyond this? May as well live while time allows.
