i.
what use is my
head today
a cup full of demons
spilling into the sunshine

ii.
amid the lean white birch trees
cool in dappled sun
i hack and spit
a warm gobbet of yellow phlegm

iii.
i weave through
shafts of sunlight
a breeze
a passing reprieve from stillness
quickly forgotten
