entering
a room that i once lived in
where sunlight streamed
through the south window
and i
or we
lay in the corner
and tried
to make sense of the wind

after i left
or you left
or they left
after forgiveness

i sit
against the hissing radiator
watching raindrops
chase memories down
the south window pane

in the quiet dust
i see the lilt of feet
you are still here
and i
i have never left
