Do You Think of Me and Cry

by Thomas K. Hunt

From the day we said good-bye I’ve wondered
do you think of me and cry?
Do you still hold a reason?
From another time
Am I even a memory?
A smile that finds your mind?
I’ve wondered
I’ve always wondered
Do you think of me and cry?
Will you even see me?
When I lay my eyes on you
I’ll feel the connection
I wonder about you
Just to hold you
at least hold your hand
Let you feel my love
I wonder, would you understand?
Just to hear you
If only for a day
I have this need to know
Wondering what you would say
Would you turn and go like you did before?
I wonder if you know
Now I need you more
I wasn’t just wondering
It’s every passing thought
My hopes and dreams
My images of you alive in my mind
Intangible, so hard to find
A constant from the day we said good-bye
I’ve wondered
Do you think of me and cry?

Oh yes, I have been in this position for 60+ years. I know where she is only 3000 miles west of me. We do exchange emails though she would not go back to spot which lives in my recall. Nice write!!
