Impression 08 by V. BlakeI
a vessel, bled.
its existence
quantified, then
measured against
one last promise
of dopamine,
and found wanting.
II
i sing the words
i wish were mine;
i form the lies
i tell instead--
let us go then,
you and i,
i will always
love you. 10/15/2015 Author's Note: I wrote these together. I don't know if they're the same poem, but I don't think they're different. Not gonna separate them.

Posted by Rob Littler on 10/15/15 at 12:39 PM This is totally calling out to the Love Song of AJP-- I see the, "...patient etherised upon a table." with a new kind of ether. A love song excised from memory and bone. Nice work! |

Posted by Jim Benz on 10/17/15 at 11:48 PM Oh, "let us go then, you and I". I stand corrected :) |
