being despised by a poet
seems like hello
from satan - or a monkey
in a human suit.

this is sex
a loud bout
of connection
between two bodies

the poet is there
on camera - naked
with a piece of plastic
demanding humanity
from men who are less
than men

this is prayer
a quiet bout
of disconnection
between two souls

the poet is gone
- busy far away
hating other things
because I am forgotten
like a sunset a dozen years ago
somewhere in ohio
