Consulting strangers,
You asked, I answered,
And from there we strayed
Into chit-chat.

And the word just
Slipped into the verbage
(No intent to connect)
But we paused--

Geographically joined--
The language changed,
"U spreeked daan . . . ."
And we both felt--

The land, the love,
The sweet strength
Of the common root--
Suddenly together back home.
