I Can't Find My Way Home

by Thomas K. Hunt

I am the reason for why I'm on this road
All the choices were mine
I alone chose this heavy load
Seems I'm running out of time

I got held back
I got way off track
I'm always on the roam
I'm right here where I always am
I just can't find my way home

Smiling faces are waiting
I miss them everyday
I need those smiles smiling back at me
More than words I can say

It's my own fault
I got caught
I have no one else to blame
I right here where I always am
And everything's the same

So many voices I'm longing to hear
They've faded without a trace
I miss the laughter that brings a tear
I miss your smiling face

The more I wait the more time escapes
It just runs than disappears
I keep making the same mistake
Year after year

I'm out here on my own
I know where I am right now
No one knows the unknown
I've got to get home somehow

I got held back
I got way off track
I seem to always be on the roam
I'm where I always am
I just can't find my way home
