On Valentines by Leonard M HawkesSpring's brightness,
Morning light,
And the lingering
Coldness of February;
But I know those
Soft places:
Fleshy contours I could
Want to enjoy--
Yet, solitary, separate,
Proudly perhaps
And independent,
We greet the day--
Maintaining that We
That others must not see. 02/17/2015 Author's Note: "Morning coffee" at Burger King.
