it was lying 
   on my headboard 
and slipped
   through my fingers 
as I reached out 
 
I left it
Let it rest
Abandoned my search 
 
But I have faith 
   its still there
under the bed
   in the dark 
ringed in the dust 
   among the forgotten 
items I once loved
