Somewhere Inside
by Britt ZimmermanShe is spinning a web in the universe
with stars at her feet
Pulling Cupid's bow and letting the arrows land
where fate allows
She is spinning a web like a spider
across the night,
letting the moon pull the strands across the sky
like the tide.
Silver strands that sparkle like Christmas tinsel
and make her giggle at the beauty of it all.
She follows his soul like a butterfly;
chaotic and delicate...
instictual and methodical.
Forests of greens and waters of blue
carry the weight of the world for her
and she paints canvas dandelions
and pinwheel lillies
to lay at his feet when he wakes...
