White Noise

by Aaron Blair

I swallowed the moon.
Now my tongue is coated in silver dust,
and I'll never be able to drink enough
to keep my throat from drying.
When I open my mouth to speak
my words shine with a blinding light,
a sound too awesome for you to see,
a bright cacophonous white.
