just one time

by Matthew Sharp

i really wish you would turn the tv off and meet me outside
the box unlocks when you leave it behind
how much does it hurt to feel youve missed out
social circles spinning webs designed
to share a character sponsored by
our favorite thing just died
meet me outside
it only hurts at first
like kicking anything symbiotic
coping with the overdose is worse
audio visual overload
senses sated to sleep
i named a flower after you
let it blossom

"I named a flower after you..." Most beautiful words I've seen in a long time, even though they weren't for me.
