The silliness of it all
Thinking that the world might change
That our actions might make a difference
That ripples would turn to waves
And pebbles might a snowball be
Oh no
I no longer see the naivety of youth
Hopeful idealism
Springing from wide open mouths
No that person has long been buried and suffocated
By the reality of the world
A roaring planet
Who has lost their soul
To a pocket full of change and a
Minute of fame.

the remaining 14 minutes cost extra, and dearly.

'Hopeful idealism springing into wide open mouths' what a beautiful line.
