more than simple by Angela Thomasi made up a new word tonight in a facebook status post
because it really describes how i feel more than the word
'simple' even could. it's like the feeling of wearing a bra
that's a size to0 small and taking it off at the end of the day.
it's the kind of visible and tangible and very real release
from oppression. a knowing that the situation you had put
yourself in until now was full of tangles, snares, traps,
ways in and not many ways out. nights spent tossing
wondering how it was going to stop. waking up
in the morning and feeling more tired than before you slept.
shaking, curdling, raging anger at simple things. really,
at myself. i sat a long time in the silence in an uncomfortable
chair after the complication walked out the door, just breathing
in the air around me. it seemed sweeter. full of uncomplication.
