Lan's Pabyrinth

by Johnny Crimson

Faun creature on my doorstep,
I had the horns delivered too,
in pieces of course.
Amazon ships overnight now,
or have they always?

I'm really not sure
what the proper protocol might be
in ordering a monster?
Is there a manual I should've downloaded?

At least this beast came with instructions,
some assembly required
but it shouldn't be overbearing.
Certainly, I can start with the legs.

Need something sturdy to build on,
a bench of some sort,
it is a short monster
after all.

I'd nearly completed my masterpiece
when I remembered the horns were key.
I cut open the box
and dug through the packing peanuts.

Pulling upward
with great speed
the white devil horns
appeared before me.

I went to place them on your head
but you'd vanished and I noticed
a note left amongst the packing materials
that littered the floor.

"Thank you for creating me,
thank you for liberating my inner self.
I would be nothing without your hands.
However, I'm really not that into men."

Cute Johnny! Cute! Amazing how wild things, once they get their legs, just never seem to stand still.
