They Go Away by Ronald A PavellasThey go away to somewhere
Or nowhere
Parents, aunts, uncles, siblings
And friends
Bequeathing a strange landscape:
Scoured and empty
Yet blooming
With ghostly memories
These grow heavy
But I shrug them away
Each day, every day
How many times
Will I say goodbye? 04/02/2014 Posted on 04/02/2014 Copyright © 2026 Ronald A Pavellas
