C R A S H
by Jared OrlandoI found a way to turn sentences
into sound.
If by some sudden sorcery,
I can make the letters
Rise Up
from their white bed, and then
Spill back down in a
c
r
a
s
h
The words then begin to
cry..
cry..
cry..
And I gently stare down
And l e t t e r by l e t t e r
I clumsily gather/them/up
Stroking their curves
Letting their muffled tears
Soak into my chest
Until every word becomes
Burrowed under my skin

And if you listen,
Ever so closely,
You can hear them
SCREAMING
