When I first met you I didn't know what to say,
I was so shy, I was afraid I would scare you away.
I used to watch you when you didn't know I was there,
When it came to talking to you I did not dare.
When I had the chance to be with you, I thought that you were sweet,
I thought that you were the only one who could make my heart beat.
When you asked me out I did not know what to do,
I had to pinch myself to see if it was really true.
I loved it when you held me in your arms,
You always had your ways of keeping me near with your charms.
I wonder if you knew how I was really in love,
I always thought that you were as gentle as a dove.
When you were with me, I thought you were the only one,
I knew right away it was my heart that you had won.
If I ever have to let you go, I want you to know I will always love you,
I want you to know that when it comes to you I will always be true.
I wish that you and I could always share one heart,
I would hate it if you and I should ever have to part.
You always had your ways of watching over me,
You always found some way to make me happy.
Even though I know that I have to let you go,
I want you to know that my love for you will always grow.
I hope that one day we will be able to give it another try,
I hope that you realize that my love for you will never die.
