she would tell me things, late at night, while we were lying in bed

"I was in the supermarket and this guy brushed his balls up against my ass"

"oh really"

"yeah, it was so fucking gross"

a few weeks later I was at home sitting in front of the television watching "VH1 classics"

a few weeks later we were broken up and she was seeing someone else

I moved out of that little apartment and left her

maybe it was all true

and maybe we were just liars
