10022013

by Uriel Tovar

To know the difference between
The two
A fork in the road
One straight ahead
The other straying west
A constant decision between
That which is appealing
And what might be a bitter pill
And in the end
The road dissolves at our heels
Leaving our footsteps
A remnant in our minds
And a lingering feeling
Of what might have been
Only to realize that the roads
Had been identical all along
When they reach the same end.
