Shades in the Mirror

by Dan Linn

Ever had a day you needed sun glasses to look in the mirror?
Have you radiated, pulsating, heart rending, blinding, ever?
Shining more colorful than an oil painting in bright Paris day,
can you imagine people shading their eyes, stumbling away,
with eyes down like you were made of diamonds in spotlight,
air traffic hazard tearing air like a Hollywood opening night?
So much that too much can't end soon enough anyway?
Today was not like that, but it was closer than yesterday.
