Headstone Love Notes

by Dorian Black

In the moments,
where light hits your eyes,
from my watchtower heart,
I like to pretend
that the look of panic from knowing
that I'll never let your heart go,
is still the same look
that you gave me
when you tucked love notes
safely into my leather jacket.

I had no idea then,
that those were whispers
to a ghost,
and you were burying them.

Author's Note: Pretty much a junk poem, but I may come back to it one day and fix it.
