Unremarkable

by John Harder

My words possess the grace
of a broken legged pirouette
My thoughts convey the clarity
of a blackout silhouette
My passion burns the ferocity
of an unlit cigarette

Author's Note: I decided to change the title from "clear as mud." I felt the title didn't suit the poem, even when I first wrote it, but didn't come up with an alternative. This, I think, is a much better fit.
