Not enough clouds
to claim in a blue sky.
Too many ways to see
the same way

I wonder why
we need rain
to wash daylight.
We make the same mistakes

our makers made
us
this way
We see each other

in twilight, counting clouds,
wasting rain
on the same days,
in our own ways.
