inherence is not the same as inclination

by Bertram Sparagmos

Say it, say it, say it
A million times
Say it
Dance not in allegory
And abstraction
In vernacular haberdashery
Until you can pull your pocket knife
and carve on the bar

I've fought
The decisions that call and lost
My part
As the relevant piece in this

Cut free of
The adhesive uniting you to
Cinquains
of Munchausen's by proxy of Robert Frost
And dance free
Across the floor with me
In the stale beer air that reminds you
Motes of dust invariably settle
