Raucous

by Joe Cramer

All of the pretty birds line up
on the wires around the house
waiting for something
I cannot seem to fathom.

It's much more than random,
yet they sit, in raucous laughter
watching, impatiently waiting
for something to happen.

They preen as they caw,
these crows, far above the law.
I wonder just how far
they will go, laughing at me.

Somethings you just shouldn't see,
this being one of the.
Eventually, they just all fly away
to boisteriously return laughing, another day.
