In living dreams
we can experience release
but for a moment
then repose
before everything goes
haywire high anxiety again.

We can breathe in smoke
from silver pellets, teas, and asphalt molds
and breathe out heat
mixed with our self deceit--
now confronted by our naked screams
from underneath.
