Swimmer's Ear by Rebecca LinThere are mistakes that are made.
A bug hitting the wall,
a shadow of something tiny
trying to escape.
There is water in your head.
And you are stuck,
you are stuck.
Fogged vision
of blurred glass
from too much water that is
salty in your eyes.
You can hear the blockage:
the confinement
and heartbeat
pounding for release.
There is an empty pool
alone in your head.
There are consequences
from actions that were unintended.
You see a bug hitting the wall,
trapped on a ceiling.
A shadow of something about to be squished. 04/14/2013 Posted on 04/14/2013 Copyright © 2024 Rebecca Lin

Beautiful imagery! Thank you for sharing this one, as well. |
