Falling Apart by Joe CramerI fall apart at the thought
of life without you.
I don't know what to say
or even do.
I wish that I could do more
for you, but I can't,
though I try.
I wonder why
this life has turned out
the way it has.
I worry too much
and remain out of touch
hungering for a word,
a glance, a sweet embrace.
It's as if time
cannot erase
all of the mistakes
of the past.
They last
but seem to consume me.
I am never free.
I fall apart at the thought
of life without you. 04/08/2013 Posted on 04/08/2013 Copyright © 2024 Joe Cramer
