Distinguish

by Anita Mac

I only live my life
the best way I know how,
with maybe a little innovation.

I am an oddity to you.

I keep my mirth in my head
and my tears on my pillow,
though cracks form at extreme temperatures.

I am an understanding you’re trying to grasp.

I feel with great affection
and little outward representation.

Ask;
I am an abundance of love.

Poetry as external representation; you are an abundance of innervating contradictions...
