how very salty this winter season has been, constantly feeling
like a dampened stray mammal that doesn't go on my mattress.
ribbons and flowers, record lengths crying on concrete blocks.

constantly feeling deep feelings --
bad for blocking in your mom's car;
you as her vision of a perfect daughter;
listening with the heart to borrowed electronic technology
for a few seconds or one or two complete breaths;

quietly singing nearly every song i know.
i've developed acquaintances, sharing as much as safely possible
with all these advancements. brisk walks to the sears store alone.
walking as close as safely possible to the road
