Domestic Abuse by Sam RobertsPromise passed
A pleading pouring soul
Forever and cleaning
This grave for giants
So tired and timid eyes
Fall forward from the skies
Passing the light and low it goes
Away
Down and out
The skeleton skips
Leaps and lays
Screaming with his lips
To the next beaten day
Blinded by the beautiful sun
Forgotten
it soon becomes none
And we wonder what to do
With the one who held this gun
With the heart of us, we’re young
Withered and washed
The slate has not been cleaned
Its defeated, black and lost

Author's Note: After a very traumatic experience, the brain does crazy things. I experienced and still experience post trauma. The description is abstract but in general I think its about the victims constant struggle with admittance. There is a problem but it doesn't surface. Its sad to think how many people have lost their lives through not being able to open their eyes. Blinded from love addiction and so terribly sad.
