The sands on this forgotten beach
remain, though the water's gone.
Nothing is left of what once was
as time flows further along.
It's as if the whole world shrank
and there is simply nothing left.

Author's Note: ... while backpacking the Florida Trail recently at Hopkins Prairie, the lakes have dried up, yet the area was filled by the hundreds of "Rainbow People" who happily greeted our group with "Welcome Home!"..... interesting!!!
