The world awaits the promised day
When thou shalt come in triumph
To show the final way.
Sweet savior haste;
Come, come to earth;
Dispel the night, and show thy face
And bid us hail the dawn of grace
O come divine Messiah
Restore to us eternal sight
Break false tradition’s bondage
In glory bring the light.
