When I walk outside I realize how the world really runs,
I realize everything in life is not always fun.
I see how a guy goes from one girl to the next,
I never thought that loving someone could be so complex.

We go to school every day to prepare ourselves for life,
We never are really prepared on how to become man and wife.
When you get out into the real world people will treat you like a disgrace,
They will start to push you around and always be in your face.

We see how children are being killed just for a thrill,
They do not care who dies as long as they have someone’s blood to spill.
There are too many problems within every race,
Too many people are being judged by the color of their face.

Sometimes when we think everything will be ok,
We come to realize that life gets harder every day.
When will we know when we are going to die?
How can we tell if someone is telling a lie?

What causes people to want to be in first place?
Why is it that people think they can take over the human race?
Sometimes it is hard to tell who you can trust,
One never knows if something will happen to make another lose someone to lust.

We will never be able to tell what is in store for us,
All that we know is we must live life and not complain or fuss.
Even though we cannot get everything to go our way,
At least we have God watching over us every day.
