You would always lift me up when I was down,
Whenever I would cry, you would wipe away my frown.
I knew that you would always wipe away my tears,
When you are close to me, I have nothing to fear.

Even when my world started to turn black,
You taught me to never look back.
You told me that life was no guarantee,
At least I know that you will never leave me.

Sometimes I may feel alone,
When I am with you, I feel like I am home.
