More than once, if you are lucky, you will witness
The uprising of the weak and the downtrodden;
The surge of the boiling sun after years of
Downpour, dripping into shadow.
The shield, the sword,
The lion’s heartbeat and the angel’s song will once more
Shatter through the two-way mirror of empty promises and broken dreams
That this world has bequeathed unto its servants.
It is the soldiers that witness the revelation that is revolution,
It is the simple that sit in shadow and pray for dawn.
