even the mountains

by Blair Meeks

in my mind the words are endless
the paper flows from trees in the park
at lake louise

i sing to you
wherever i go

windows down,
the wind strums a melody
through the strands of my hair

i reach inside of me
to find you somewhere
anywhere

i hope that some part of you
lingers
carries on
in this darkness

i find there is only you
only melodies and lyrics
of a love that deserved
forever

there is only one song

(even the mountains sing
your name)

The genuineness caught me first, and then again and again, the beautiful genuineness. This poem is word pure beauty.
