i miss your laugh the most
and i know that i will always remember

the way you held your stomach
bent over
sometimes laughing so hard
you couldn't breathe

and i watched you
wanting to find a way to hold on
to that secret moment

where laughter saved you
from sadness,
where we connected through
joy and love

and you forgot the pain
that held the laughter
inside.
